Overview
Chic Discovery ("we", "our", "us") operates the Chic Discovery Chrome extension. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What data we collect
When you create a Chic List account, we collect:
- Your email address
- A password (stored securely via Supabase Auth — we never see it in plain text)
- The items you save to your Chic List (product title, brand, price, image, and URL)
When you browse with the extension active, we read the title, meta tags, and product information of the page you are currently viewing, solely to identify what product you are looking at and search for matches in our catalogue. This data is processed locally and is never transmitted to our servers.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your browsing history
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect financial or payment information
- We do not track you across websites
How we use your data
Your email and saved items are used solely to operate the Chic List feature — saving, displaying, and removing items you choose to save. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's core function.
Third parties
We use Supabase (supabase.com) to store your account and Chic List data. Supabase is GDPR compliant. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.
Data retention
Your account and saved items are retained until you delete your account. You can remove individual items at any time from within the extension.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hi@chicdiscovery.com.
